Eugh steam.. such a pain in the ass and yet rather nice. I just bought the HL2 CS:S DOD:S pack at a store and it worked fine for all 3 games :S
And I got gmod :D Such a fun game
Its not that the games are bad, most (if not all) of valves games are amazing. It's just this odd anti-pre owned view that i don't understand.

Yeah, that HL2 thing happend to me aswell..
I just ended up buying the game twice.
Was worth it for GMOD though.
